Snow Expected This Weekend; 2-4″ Possible in Southern Counties

After another day of the brutal Iowa cold that we have supposedly gotten used to, there will be a *slight* warm up as we begin the weekend. Temperatures will still be seasonably colder than average with high temperatures 10 to 20 degrees below normal. A small impact snow event will impact mostly the southern end of the state today. 2-4″ will be the highlight number with lighter amounts the further north you go. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for our far south central counties in Missouri – Nodaway, Worth, Harrison, Mercer, Putnam, and Schuyler – from 9am Saturday to 6pm Sunday. Those areas are expected to get the highest accumulations than areas north.
