Another Round of Freezing Rain Possible Tomorrow

After a generally quiet day today with mostly cloudy to cloudy skies with seasonally-normal temperatures in the 20s east to the 30s west, a more active weather period is expected into tomorrow. High pressure has dominated over the area with a frontal boundary expected to drive east. As this happens, potential for a wintry mix will increase across the north where the temperatures will likely hover around the freezing point. Total accumulation shouldn’t be too hazardous (0.01 to 0.10 in the north), but as with all ice events, travel may be hazardous. A Freezing Rain Advisory has been issued for our far northwestern counties of Minnehaha SD and Rock MN. Aside from that, Tuesday will be a nice day overall with highs in the 30s in the northeast and upper 40s to 50 west. And as usual for this time of the year, temperatures will be diving back down for the rest of the week. Thursday may only see single digits for some areas with overnight lows being around zero.
