Roads are in terrible shape across the state with white out conditions reported in some areas. The best advice is not to travel the rest of the day and into tonight as conditions will not improve until later tonight when the winds begin to subside. There are many counties that are under tow bans at this time which include, Mills, Fremont, Pottawattamie, Cass, Adair, Warren, Lucas, Ringgold, Madison, Union, Clarke, Decatur, Wayne, Boone, Story, Marshall, Dallas, Polk, Jasper, Marion, Tama, Poweshiek, Benton, Iowa, Linn, Johnson, Jones, Cedar, Muscatine, Jackson, Clinton and Scott. Conditions will improve later tonight as mentioned but it may be sometime on Monday before roads will be in normal winter weather driving conditions. Travel is not advisable the rest of the day and tonight. Stay safe and warm at home.
