Snow continues to overspread the state at this hour with two primary heavier bands of snow – one with moderate snow from Omaha to Des Moines and through the Cedar Rapids area, and then another smaller, but heavier band around Creston, Osceola, and Maryville MO. Thunderstorms lurking south of Kansas City are pushing more moisture into Iowa which will cause higher snowfall rates over the next couple of hours. Roads remain completely covered for the vast majority of the state. Please do not travel this morning unless absolutely necessary.
