11:30 PM: Most Roads Completely Covered, Tow Bans for Central and SW Iowa

The latest update here at 11:30 PM shows nearly all roads across the state are completely covered with either a slush or snow. There are some exceptions in northwest Iowa and southwest Iowa, but these will likely become fully snow covered later tonight. Note that many of the white or “dry” spots on the map are not updating due to technical difficulties. Tow bans are also in effect for Fremont, Mills, Cass, Pottawattamie, Adair, Dallas, Marion, Jasper, Boone, Marshall, Polk, and Story counties. Nonetheless travel will be hazardous tonight and through tomorrow morning – take extra time if you absolutely must travel.
