Riding the Ferris Wheel of Temperatures

583

A mild winter day is already being seen across the area with temperatures at noon sitting in the mid 40s to low 50s. Temperatures should rise a few more degrees before topping out. Either way, it’s a beautiful day with the snow pack melting off quickly. Conditions are expected to quickly change as we head into the overnight hours with lows in the low teens northwest to the low 30s in the southeast. Things will only continue to drop off tomorrow, and while the highs in the graphic above do seem to be fairly ‘warm,’ these will likely be set at midnight or in the early morning hours Sunday. Things will drop off during the day with the midday temperatures in the low teens north to barely 30 in the southeast. By afternoon to early evening, single digit temperatures may begin to pop up across the north. Temperatures are only on the downfall from there with high temperatures on Monday in the upper teens for some parts of the north with others struggling to reach 20. Monday night will be bitter and windy with lows ranging from a couple degrees below zero to the single digits north to the mid teens south. Wind chills will be in the negatives for the vast majority with some areas reaching nearly -20.

Bundle up and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
