All of the National Weather Service offices across the state have issued Winter Weather Advisories in advance of an approaching system from the west that will cause snow chances to increase throughout the area tomorrow. Snow is expected to begin Saturday morning across the west and continue moving through to the east through the day. Snow should hover around the state before beginning to settle down during the evening and the overnight. The greatest totals are looking to be three to five inches northwest of a line from La Crosse to Decorah to Parkersburg to Webster City and finally to Sergeant Bluff. One to three inches can be anticipated elsewhere. There may be some locally higher or lower totals in these areas, depending on what we see with banding and snow squalls and such. Winds will not be a concern with relatively light winds, allowing impact to visibility to be near zero.
