We might as well get used to it. Low temperatures tonight are expected to dip down into the lower to mid 20s north, to the upper 20s to lower 30s south with partly cloudy skies. The last Freeze Warnings expected of 2014 has been issued for our far south and southeast coverage area (primarily far north Missouri and into SE Iowa/WC Illinois). Those in these areas should expect to bring their plants inside for the remainder of the season.
While sunny skies will prevail Friday, temperatures will still be chilly with highs struggling to reach the lower 40s in most spots. Make sure to bundle up as you head to work or school tomorrow.
And the downward spiral continues. Clear skies on Friday night will be an illusion for bitterly cold temperatures with some areas barely holding on to the 20° mark. With the last freeze of the season, Frost and Freeze Warnings have been discontinued by the National Weather Service, aka as ‘get ready for winter.’
And, no, there is no snow in the forecast.
Enjoy your Friday!
