NO VIDEO TODAY
THE WEEK AHEAD: The weather pattern will be changing as we head into the middle and end of the week and the weekend, but today will see more of what we saw this past weekend, with plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 70s through the middle 80s across the state. As we head into Tuesday, a storm system will be approaching from the west and could kick off some showers and thunderstorms in the western counties as early as Tuesday afternoon while the rest of the state should still remain dry with partly to mostly sunny skies. This slow moving system will be moving through the state from Tuesday night through at least Friday morning before it finally departs. This will not be all day rains but the chances will be there nonetheless. Readings will also be held down with the amount of clouds we should see during this period with 60s and lower 70s possible. As we head into the weekend, which will be the first weekend of October, it’s going to feel a lot like October with readings in the 60s for highs and lows in the 40s.
GOING ALONG THROUGH OCTOBER: As we head into the extended period which takes us into the middle of October the GFS continues to show a northwesterly flow over the area. This will tend to keep temperatures at or below seasonal levels for the early to middle part of October. There are several systems that could affect the area as well but timing them out is rather difficult at this time. There is no run to run consistency regarding the storm strength and timing as well during this period.
