SUNSHINE WEEKEND: There will be plenty of sunshine go to around this weekend across the state. Highs this weekend will be in the 70s across the state. Lows will be in the upper 40s through the lower 50s Sunday morning and in the lower and middle 50s Monday morning.
AND THEN: The weather turns sour as we head into next week with chances of showers and a few thunderstorms possible Monday through at least Thursday. This will be with a disturbance and a cold front that will be moving slowly through the area. This doesn’t look like all-day rains but sunshine could be in short supply during this period. Readings still look to remain in the 70s Monday through Wednesday before the cold front sweeps through dropping readings into the 60s for highs on Thursday.
NEXT WEEKEND AND BEYOND: Friday and next Saturday will be quite cool with readings in the 60s and lower 70s for highs with sunshine around once again. We may see lows well down into the 40s and depending on the conditions, a few places may see upper 30s especially Saturday morning when skies should be mostly clear and the winds will be light. Looking into the extended period, the cooler temperatures look to continue for several more days, with readings modifying toward the end of the period. There will be some storms around but timing them out this far in advance is hard at this point. We’ll keep watching it.
