The NWS WSR88-D Radar (also known as Doppler Radar or Dual-Pol Radar) has gone down at the NWS Office at the Davenport Municipal Airport due to a communications outage. The image shown above was the last image sent out before the radar went down. It showed a line of intense but non-severe thunderstorms moving over the radar site at that time. We would suffice to say that the outage perhaps could be weather related. Until the outage is resolved, you will have to look at surrounding radars at La Crosse, Des Moines, Milwaukee-Sullivan, Chicago, Lincoln, Kansas City and St. Louis for radar images.
