MORE RAIN: Skies will be partly to mostly sunny today across the state. Highs will be in the lower to middle 70s. Clouds will be on the increase tonight with the next system that will move through on Monday into Tuesday. This will be similar to what happened yesterday with a low pressure center moving just south of the state with some rain showers and embedded thunderstorms. Severe weather is not expected with this system. Readings with the amounts of clouds and precipitation will be held into the lower 70s, perhaps even some upper 60s. There looks to be a brief break before more rain is possible with a system moving through on Thursday as well. Readings on Wednesday will be in the 70s to lower 80s with Thursday seeing temperatures a few degrees cooler than that.
ANOTHER WEEKEND: Friday will be a picture perfect day with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs in the middle to upper 70s with perhaps a few areas in the lower 80s. The next system will be approaching from the west with more showers and thunderstorms late Friday night in the western counties and statewide on Saturday. This will keep temperatures down into the 70s once again. This also looks to last into Sunday as well for at least the eastern half of the state but we have plenty of time to watch that in the coming days.
CONTINUING ON: This model run is showing a somewhat tranquil weather pattern across the state with readings averaging near seasonal levels for the middle of June however there will be some cooler than average and some warmer than average days mixed in. We don’t see any organized shower or thunderstorm chances at this time, but the extended period has been all over the place over the last few weeks so something new will likely be seen tomorrow.
