WEEKEND: Sunshine will be in full supply today with readings in the 60s and lower 70s across the state. A disturbance will move across the northern counties of the state on Sunday that may spark and isolated shower or storm there. Readings will be held down with more clouds around with readings in the 50s north to lower and middle 60s south.

INTO NEXT WEEK: There may be an isolated shower hanging around on Monday in the northeastern counties of the state with the rest of the state seeing partly sunny skies. Highs will range from near 60 northeast to the lower 70s southwest. Partly to mostly sunny skies will be around on Tuesday with readings a bit warmer, lower 60s northeast to lower and middle 70s south and southwest. Wednesday will be the first warm and humid day of the year with readings well up into the 70s and lower to middle 80s. We will see dew points well into the 60s as well. This may set the stage for some showers and thunderstorms to move into the area as a storm system approaches from the west. There could be some severe weather accompanying the storms, but it’s still too early to determine the severity of the risk at this time. We may also see thunderstorm activity into Thursday and Friday as well with readings mainly in the 70s. We’ll have to wait and see what severe weather risk we may see on those days as well, along with any possible threat of flooding at that time.

FARTHER ALONG: The weather pattern continues to look active as we head into the middle of the month. It’s too early to pinpoint the storms at this point but it does look active for the next two weeks. Readings look to remain near seasonal levels with some warmer and some cooler days intermixed.
