Heading into this evening, we still have one lone severe storm remaining over the central counties of the state at this time. This storm is ENE of Iowa Falls moving ENE at around 30-35mph. This storm could produce quarter size hail and winds over 60mph. Other storms in northeast Iowa are under severe weather limits at this time but still could produce hail up to the size of pennies and winds greater than 40mph. Still waiting to see if any development fires farther off to the west and southwest this evening. The Storm Prediction Center has been watching the far southwestern counties for a possible new watch later on. We’ll see what develops as we move through the evening hours.
