The Storm Prediction Center (through Scott AFB outside St. Louis) has issued a Tornado Watch for Missouri, eastern Kansas and far NE Oklahoma until 8pm this evening. This comes up to the Iowa/ Missouri border. Some thunderstorms are developing down in Missouri and Kansas and are moving northeast. We aren’t expecting the storms to be severe as they move into Iowa, but we’ll keep watching them throughout the afternoon into the evening. If you are going to be travelling down toward Kansas City this afternoon, be aware of the rapidly changing situation ongoing down there and be sure to have a source of weather information.
