Minor to Moderate Flooding across western Floyd county – Flood Advisory until 1:30am

The National Weather Service in La Crosse has issued a Flood Advisory for melting snow in western Floyd county until 1:30am. At 1:35 PM CDT, emergency management reported snow melt causing minor to moderate flooding over western Floyd county, including tributaries to the Shell Rock River.

Be alert for possible high water levels in poor drainage areas and flooding due to plugged culverts.

Some locations that may experience flooding include: Rockford, Marble Rock, Rudd, and Nora Springs.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross safely. Seek higher ground.
