The National Weather Service has gone ahead and issued Winter Storm Warnings for the southern half of the state for the day on Tuesday. These will begin in the morning hours and last through the early morning hours of Wednesday. Farther to the north, Winter Weather Advisories are in effect mainly along and south of US Hwy 20. Areas to the north of these advisories are still going to get some snow, but only an inch or two at the most. Whether you’re in an advisory and warning or not. Any snow that does fall combined with winds that will come in behind the system on Wednesday will create some blowing and drifting that will lead to some hazardous travel conditions as we go along. Please take heed and take your time if you have to go anywhere Tuesday and Wednesday as this storm travels through the state.
