A FLURRY OF SYSTEMS: It will be a somewhat busy week across the state with several chances of precipitation, albeit light, across the area. Today we may see a chance of some light snow or flurries across the northern and eastern counties of the state. Any accumulation would be minor, less than a half inch at best. Highs today will be in the upper teens to lower and middle 20s northeast to the 30s in the south and west. This will also be the case on Tuesday as well. Another system will come in Thursday into early on Friday which may bring some rain and or wintry mix to start before changing over to some light snow or flurries before ending. Again, any accumulation is expected to be light at this time.

WEEKEND: Temperatures look to stay near seasonal levels this weekend as a new storm system will move just to our south and southeast on Sunday. This may bring a few more clouds to the southeastern half of the state on Sunday into Sunday night but no precipitation will be coming from them.

THROUGH THE CHRISTMAS CLUSTER: The model run continues to show an outside chance of some light snow or flurries early on Christmas Eve as a clipper systems sweeps across the area. This will also take the seasonal air and sweep it away as well, replacing it with bitter cold for Christmas Day. Thereafter, the temperatures look to moderate once again back to and over seasonal levels for this time of year. Another system around New Year’s Eve may put an end to that but we’re still not confident at this time given the wild swings in the model of late.
