STUFFING THE TURKEY: A very cold morning this morning will give way to slightly warmer readings than we had yesterday. Highs will be in the middle 20s through the lower 30s across the state with plenty of sunshine around. Clouds will be on the increase late tonight into Monday with a clipper system coming down from the northwest. This will have very little moisture attached to it, but enough to kick off some snow showers across mainly in the eastern counties of the state late tonight through the early afternoon hours on Monday. Accumulations will be under a half inch in many locations with this system. Tuesday through Thanksgiving will be mainly sunny with readings likely in the upper 20s through the upper 30s across the state with little change during the period.

TURKEY SANDWICH LEFTOVERS: Black Friday into Saturday look to be a bit warmer as the winds turn to the south. This will bring temperatures up into the upper 30s through the middle 40s across the area with partly to mostly sunny skies around. Another push of colder air will move in next Sunday with a mainly dry front that will lower the readings back into the 20s to lower 30s as we head into the month of December.

DECK THE STATE WITH BOUTS OF SNOW STORMS: The GFS is still showing off and on, a few bouts of snow across the area. On this run, the storms look to be on the 4th into the 5th and then again the 6th into the 7th, with cold shots following each time. Temperatures look to remain near or below seasonal averages for the early portions of December, but all this can change on the very next run, so we’ll have to wait and see.
