THROUGH THE WEEK: Cooler weather but not overly cold weather today with readings in the 40s to lower 50s across the state with mainly sunny skies around. Winds will be back out of the south on Tuesday bringing temperatures up a few degrees at that time with perhaps a few more clouds around. Some rain is possible mainly in the eastern counties of the state on Wednesday with another more significant system Thursday into early on Friday that may bring some rain and snow to the state at that time. It’s too early to determine amounts at this point.
COLD SNAP: Much cooler air will roll in Friday and into the weekend with readings likely in the 30s for highs (if not colder) and lows in the teens (with possible single digits in colder locales) with mostly sunny skies around.
ON OUT: The extended period looks a lot calmer on this run than in previous days. Even Thanksgiving week doesn’t look all that bad around here. It does look to be colder during the period heading into December with some bouts of snow albeit light but nothing of much significance at this time. We’ll continue watching for any subtle changes that may bring more active weather to the area during the period.
