A line of thunderstorms in western Iowa has been moving slowly northeast at 25 mph. Winds are currently already out of the southeast at 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts within thunderstorms possible from 40 to 50 mph. The line of storms should begin turning further eastward, so those in western and central Iowa should be on the lookout.

Be prepared for 30-40 mph gusts with higher gusts to 55 mph as this system approaches your area.
