There is a moderate risk of severe weather for the northern and central Iowa for today and tonight. All modes of severe weather will be possible including tornadoes, large hail and damaging winds. There is a slight risk of severe weather for the rest of the state as well for the same severe weather threats. Everyone will need to pay attention over the next 24 hours and have a way of getting warnings if you are going to be heading out later today into tonight, especially to any high school football games.
