It is with deep sadness that we report a long time employee for the National Weather Service Office in Sioux Falls, Michael (Mike) Buss, passed away over the weekend.  Prior to moving to Sioux Falls in 1986, Mike worked for the Air Force and the National Weather Service offices in Milwaukee, WI and International Falls, MN.  During Mike’s tenure in Sioux Falls, he was instrumental in developing computer programs to support daily operations.  Mike retired from the Observation Program Manager position just this past June to spend more time with his kids and grandkids.  More information on Mike can be found here.
