RAIN AND SUN: There will be isolated chances of seeing some shower and possibly thunderstorm activity through Wednesday and then again Friday as well. Otherwise some sunshine will be possible with highs remaining below seasonal levels for this time of year in the 70s to low 80s across the state through the end of the week. The weekend looks to be mostly sunny with seasonally cool readings continuing with more activity into next week.
NEXT WEEK: Showers and storms are set to return to the state late Sunday into Monday and perhaps early Tuesday with a system moving through. Temperatures look to remain near seasonal or slightly below seasonal levels at that time, but some dry periods will occur with some sunshine as well.
COOL AUGUST: Even looking out into the extended period of the model run, there looks to be no big changes with the weather pattern at least according to this run of the GFS. A cool trough over the Great Lakes and a northwesterly flow around here is going to continue to bring below average temperatures with some bouts of rain from time to time.
