STAYING COOL: No real changes in today’s report with rain slowly moving away today and tomorrow, mainly over the eastern counties of the state. Readings will still remain cool for this time of year with 60s to lower 70s both today and tomorrow. It dries out Friday into the first part of Saturday before another system moves in with more showers and thunderstorms at that time. It’s still too early to determine if the weekend system may have some severe weather with it but we’ll keep watch for it.

WARMING UP: A warm front is expected to move into the state early next week that will begin to warm our temperatures up to levels that are more typical of June then what we’ve been seeing. This will also bring the threat of more showers and thunderstorms to the state as well. We’ll have to keep an eye to see if this may bring some flooding concerns to the state as the GFS shows possible repeated rounds of storms Tuesday through Thursday of next week. Severe weather is certainly possible but too early to determine at this time.
