REPEATED ACTIVITY: No big changes through the rest of the week, numerous chances of showers and thunderstorms some of which could be severe and some if not all that may or are likely to produce flooding. There will be numerous dry hours mixed in with some sunshine peaking through, but any sunshine will destabilize the atmosphere leading to more activity. This looks to continue through Friday as the storm is slow to leave. Saturday will see some clouds and some backwash showers but no severe weather. Sunday will be the first dry day in a while and it will be a good thing to see as we head into the month of June.

ANOTHER SYSTEM: The GFS gives us two dry days, Sunday and Monday before the next system approaches from the west. This would bring more shower and thunderstorm activity to the state. It’s too early to determine any chance of severe weather at this time, but it certainly could be the case. More on that in coming days. This would also prolong flooding across the state as well, which will become the major issue over the next week or two. Any additional rainfalls will exacerbate the flooding. This will need to be monitored as we head into next week.

MID MONTH: A few more storms around the middle of June but this could very well go away on the next run. No real trends foreseen at this time. Temperatures look to remain near seasonal levels through the period however.
