REPEATED RAINS: There will be continued chances of showers and thunderstorms across the state through the rest of this weekend into next week. Severe weather is possible in an isolated fashion early on with it becoming more likely by Tuesday at the earliest. With the repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms, some heavy rain is entirely possible which may lead to more river flooding across the area. Several rivers are already running high, if not flooding already. This will prolong any rivers currently in flood and lead to rises to near or over flood stage on many others. Temperatures will be held down to start with readings in the 60s to low 70s today rising into the 70s by Monday and perhaps 80s by the middle of next week. We will post any possible severe weather outlooks onto the blog when they are issued.
FARTHER OUT: The GFS is showing some active weather during the first week and a half of June with some quick moving storm systems as the pattern looks to become more zonal which would lead to seasonal readings, but this may and is likely to change unless any trends can be established over the next few model runs. (We will have a more detailed report tomorrow, but isolated severe weather occurred during as I was producing the video)
