EASTER LILLIES, SNOW FLURRIES: A day of transition for Easter Sunday as cold air is waiting in the wings for the following week. Readings today will still be somewhat warm with highs in the 40s north to 50s south. Winds will be quite gusty out of the northwest at 15-30mph. Tonight a disturbance rotating around the base of the trough may squeeze out some rain and snow over the southern and western counties of the state. Some accumulation on grassy areas is possible but should be more than a half inch in any one location. Readings Monday morning will be down into the upper teens to mid 20s.

COLD TO START, REBOUND TO END: The week starts out cold with readings in the 30s and 40s for highs Monday. Monday night will bring another night into the teens and 20s before a slow warm up begins that will last through the end of the week. Highs will be in the 40s to lower 50s Tuesday and Wednesday and 50s statewide at least by Thursday. A front with little moisture comes through Thursday night that may lower temps a touch Friday but not by a whole lot. Heading into next weekend a storm will move in from the west and northwest bringing with it some rain, possibly moderate. We’ll have more details on that storm in the coming days.

SEVERAL SYSTEMS TO WATCH: The GFS continues to show a decent storm around the 9th of April across our area. This may bring us some showers and thunderstorms at that time. Too early to determine if any severe weather will be possible with that storm at this time. Another system around the 13-15th of April may also bring a threat of showers and thunderstorms to the state as well. Readings look to stay near to slightly above average during this time table but things are likely to change, so stay tuned.
