NO VIDEOS UNTIL MONDAY
MARCHING THROUGH A SNOWY IOWAY: It may be springtime, but winter wonderland is going to greet some across the southern and eastern counties of the state this coming weekend with some accumulating snow. The GFS still is showing the center of the storm well to the south and southeast of the state but some precipitation is likely to make it into the state with the southern and eastern counties getting the heaviest of the precipitation.
NEXT WEEK IT’S COLD: Doesn’t look like the colder than average temperatures are going anywhere anytime soon with the NAO and AO remaining negative through the end of the month. A weak disturbance Wednesday and Thursday could kick up a few flurries or snow showers but nothing too significant at this time. Warmer air does start to return around the end of the month with another storm moving in. This one too looks to move to our south and could bring some cold rain perhaps mixed with snow or sleet to the area. It does look somewhat warmer heading into April but we still have plenty of time for that to change as well.
