COLD WEATHER CONTINUES: It remains cold across the state to begin a new work week. Highs today will struggle in the single digits and teens. Wind Chills will be well below zero all day thus the advisories and warnings will continue in effect for part or most of the day. Tonight, temps drop back below zero except in the far south and southwest. Tuesday may bring a little snow or flurry activity but the chances are 20-30% at best across the state.

MODERATION SEASONALLY: Readings will rise to seasonal levels by the end of the week into the following weekend. We may see warmer than average air Sunday with southerly winds bringing more moisture into the state that may bring some precipitation. Whether this precipitation is in the form of rain or snow is still up in the air at this point. We have several days to watch this so we’ll keep close tabs on it.

THAT STORM: The GFS continues to show the storm around the 29th and 30th of the month. This run is a little farther south than the previous runs and previous days. This would just skim the southern half of the state with some activity and keep much of the state dry and out of any snowfall. This is another storm we have to keep an eye out for as well.
