MODERATION: Temperatures will be above average again today with 30s and 40s across the area. A little disturbance will pass north of the state later today that may squeeze out some light snow in Minnesota, Wisconsin and far northeast Iowa. Accumulations aren’t expected at this time. Slightly cooler tomorrow with readings in the 20s and 30s before another warm up ahead of a big cold push this weekend.

GOODBYE AVERAGE: Temperatures won’t be anywhere close to average levels heading into next week as a cold front sweeps through the state with little fanfare aka little to no moisture. This will bring readings down into the single digits and teens for highs by Monday and lows at or below zero in many areas. A lack of snow cover over most of the state will not help keep the temperatures up, but if we had snow on the ground, there is a good likelihood readings would be about 10 to 15 degrees colder. This looks to last through the rest of the upcoming week with a slow warm up to near seasonal levels by the following weekend.

STILL NO SNOW: There doesn’t look like any good chances to bring any snow back to the state in the next two week time period at this time. It does look to remain near seasonal levels after this cold push next week but it still looks to remain dry at least as of now.
