SNOWY SUNDAY: There will be some snow across the state today mainly across the northern third to half of the state. It will start out as a mix or some rain across the south changing to all snow as temperatures drop during the day. Highs will likely have been set by the time many of you watch the video or read this post. An inch or two will be possible for areas along and north of IA Hwy 3, with little or nothing to the south.

QUIET WEEK: The upcoming week will be benign of weather outside of mainly sunny skies and slowly warming temperatures after bottoming out Monday morning in the single digits and teens. Highs will climb from the 20s to near 30 Monday into the 30s and 40s by Friday ahead of the next system expected in Saturday.

ANOTHER STORM: The next system could bring some rain, snow or a mix of the two once again. This would be more centered across our southern counties down into MO at this time, but this could change on future model runs. There is a twist with regards to another storm forming near the Gulf Of Mexico that could take much of the moisture away from this system. If this was to happen, the amounts would be about the same if not less than the storm ongoing today. Thereafter confidence isn’t high on any solution heading toward Christmas at this time.
