MORE DRY DAYS: The dry pattern continues for a few more days with a slow warmup as a result. Highs today in the 30s and 40s will warm into the 50s by the weekend. Sunshine will be plentiful across the state as well with a light wind out of the south and southwest.
BITS OF RAIN: A weak disturbance will move through Saturday that may kick off an isolated shower around but any rainfall will be no more than a hundredth or two at most. Many areas will remain dry. Same can be said for a storm on Tuesday as well which may bring a slightly better chance of rain and perhaps slightly higher totals, but the best totals and chances both times will be off to our east.
READY FOR BLIZZARDS!: The GFS seems to think we could get in for one big colossal blizzard in about two weeks time. We saw this on the model run yesterday and today it ramped it up much more. If this trend was to stay on track. This would mean a widespread, significant snow storm from the 10th through the 12th of December. This would include blizzard conditions and possibly many inches of snow, perhaps a foot. Of course before everyone starts running toward the hardware store for shovels, snow blowers and rock salt, this is still two weeks away and the models have been VERY inconsistent day to day this far out as they typical are. If the trend continues for a few more days, then you should begin to prepare for “possible” snow. This isn’t set in stone as yet, just looking for trends past seven days out.
