BLAND WEATHER: The weather over the next few days will be boring, bland, dry across the state. A few flurries may fly in southwest Iowa on Monday with a disturbance moving past, but nothing much else will happen for at least the next week across the state. Temperatures today will be in the 40s with a cool down into the upper 20s and 30s Monday with a slow warmup thereafter.

ANY PRECIP?: Outside of the flurries in SW Iowa on Monday, there is a slight chance of some precipitation Thursday night in the southern and southeastern counties of the state. Right now the chance is very slim right now, but we’ll keep watching to see if this expands in future model runs. Thereafter it may be a week before any significant precipitation falls across the area.

DECEMBER STORMS: The last few GFS Model runs haven’t been looking too promising for those that want some snow. The storm expected in about 8-9 days time has been looking weaker and weaker with every model run. This doesn’t bode well for much wintertime fun over at least the first week of December and perhaps the second week as well.
