END OF THE WARMTH: Today and most of Thanksgiving will stay warm across the state, but it will abruptly come to an end with a cold front moving through on Thursday afternoon bringing with it more seasonal like air but little if any precipitation along with it. Temperatures today will be in the 50s and 60s along with Thursday as well. Fog may inhibit the warmth in the eastern counties as it did yesterday, but the south to southwesterly winds should begin to erode the fog bank by the mid-morning hours.

WHEN THERE’S COLD THERE’S SNOW: The GFS has been wobbling on the possibility of snow on Tuesday across the southern counties of the state with a storm. The last 4 runs had the storm well to the south of the state missing us completely. Prior to those 4 runs, the storm was shown to effect the state with some snow possibly accumulating in some areas. Well this run shows the storm back in the picture once again, although right now it may be just flurries or snow showers at this point. Most of the precipitation will remain to our south and that could limit any around here at that time.

COLD DECEMBER: The month of December looks to be seasonal at least at this time, but there have been some inconsistencies in the model runs regarding any polar plunges from the north and whether we may get any wintry precipitation ahead of any of them. One note is that there will be a lot of wind, but nothing definite at this time.
