WARMTH CONTINUES: The warmer than average streak continues into Thanksgiving week with some readings in the 50s and 60s across the state. There may be some early morning showers in the eastern counties but they shouldn’t amount to more than a few hundredths at best. Otherwise skies will be mainly sunny with only a few passing clouds the rest of today through Wednesday.
WET TURKEY: GFS is showing more moisture with the disturbance moving through on Thursday. This could bring some showers around during the day across the state. Again, the amounts won’t be much, a few hundredths to perhaps a tenth possible. Travel prior to the holiday will be ok outside those heading to the Pacific Northwest, where rain and mountain snow will fall in those areas.
COLD PLUNGE TAKING OFF: Following the storm on Thursday, temperatures will turn cooler, back into the 40s for highs and lows in the 20s. It will rebound slowly back to near 50 by early next week but the GFS is showing a possible big cold snap in the first week of December which may bring very cold air to the state if it pans out. Winter weather could also be possible as well, but it’s much too early to determine that at this time.
