Iowa Forecast Discussion November 12th 2012

NOTE: Videos will return Tuesday but will be preempted again Wednesday and possibly Thursday due to a medical procedure.

NOVEMBER LIKE: It’s starting to feel a lot more like it should this time of year. Temperatures will slowly rise through the week with 30s and 40s rising into the upper 40s and lower 50s by the middle to end of the week. It will remain dry with mainly sunny skies and a few passing clouds at best.

REMAINING QUIET: No real storm system on this model run will effect the state at least for the next week to possibly ten days. The next best chance of any precipitation may hold off until right before Thanksgiving which would put us in Voo-Doo, but we’ll keep an eye out for anything that may come before that. Most of the precip with that storm would likely be in the form of rain at this time.

NO COLD SHOTS: Right now there doesn’t look to be any intrusions of arctic air from the north over the next two weeks, but we’ll continue watching for that as well.
