All of Iowa, Severe Weather

Severe Storms Still Possible Saturday

There is still a slight risk of severe weather for Saturday afternoon and evening across the western counties of the state. The main threat of severe weather will be from damaging winds and large hail. There area still some questions as to whether there will be any thunderstorm development. The limiting factor in place right now looks to be a lack of CAPE and perhaps a capping inversion. Any storms that do fire will likely hold off until the late afternoon and evening hours. The storms will only last a few hours and then weaken as they move to the east.

NOTE: Any watches and warnings will be posted onto the blog and the FB page but may NOT be edited in an appropriate time due to my travel out of state at this time.
