WARMING UP: A slow warm up is in store over the next few days ahead of the storm system coming this weekend. Temperatures today will be in the 40s and 50s rising into the 60s by Friday and Saturday. Winds will be breezy out of the south and southwest with some gusty conditions possible as well.
WEEKEND STORM SYSTEM: The storm is still on track for moving in Saturday into Sunday. The model is a bit slower this time, but the main window will be Saturday evening through Sunday night at this time with showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could be strong to perhaps severe. Main threats would likely be from large hail and damaging straight line winds.
GETTING COLDER: Temperatures will take a tumble early next week into the 30s and 40s for highs Monday and Tuesday before a slow rebound toward 50 by the middle to end of next week. Doesn’t look like there will be any snow activity on the backside of the storm but we’ll wait and see on that.
THANKSGIVING PREVIEW: Right now, even though it’s far out there, thanksgiving looks to be rather mild and pleasant with highs perhaps around 50s with mainly sunny skies. This of course will change as we move closer.
