VOTING FOR WARMER WEATHER: The weather today will be split with some morning to early afternoon rain moving from west to east across the state. The rain may linger through the entire day in our far eastern counties but skies should begin to clear in the western counties by the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the 40s to lower 50s. Readings will begin a slow warmup ahead of the next storm with 60s returning by Thursday and perhaps nearing or surpassing 70 by Friday and perhaps Saturday.
STORM CLOUD BALLOTS: The storm is still on track for Saturday into Sunday with some showers and thunderstorms possible. Some storms could be strong but the severe weather threat may be just to our south and southwest. We’ll be able to adjust that in the next day or two. There could be enough cold air on the backside of the storm Sunday night into early Monday for some snow but it’s way too early to discuss that at this time as well. It will get drastically colder behind the system with highs back into the upper 30s to middle 40s early next week.
HANGING CHADS AT MID MONTH: No real trends passed this upcoming storm. We’ve seen some runs with a big storm, other runs with no storm. Temperatures will remain close to seasonal levels for the middle of November heading toward Thanksgiving, but it’s too early to determine anything passed 7 days at this time.
