RAIN ON THE WAY: The chances of rain seem to be lessening with every model run. It looks like most of the weekend will remain mainly dry but clouds look to be sticking around keeping temperatures down in the 40s and 50s for highs (just slightly below average). Eventually the rain does move in late Sunday into Monday with a system coming in from the northwest. Rainfall looks to be light with a tenth to quarter inch of rain possible by the time the storm moves out late Monday night.

ELECTION DAY: There will be no weather related issues with Tuesday. Partly to Mostly sunny skies with highs in the upper 40s northeast to mid to upper 50s southwest across the state with light winds.

VETERAN’S DAY STORM: The GFS is starting to show some changes regarding the storm system that is possible on Veteran’s Day Weekend. This run is showing the storm moving a bit faster and looking a bit weaker than before. Instead of Sunday being the main event day, it looks more like Saturday will be that day. Also the rain mentioned on Friday is now gone. A 3 day storm has now become a one day storm that doesn’t look as menacing as before. However, it’s still a storm we need to watch for. It still could produce some showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be strong and some snow in the Dakotas especially.

MID MONTH: No real trends sticking out after the storm next weekend. We’ve seen no storms, big storms, snowstorms, nothing to really grab our attention like the storm next weekend. We’ll keep watching as always.
