DRY WEATHER CONTINUES: The weather pattern will begin to move as the remnants of Sandy begin to move off to the north and east today and into the rest of the week. The dry weather will last until Saturday when a system may bring some scattered shower chances to the state. The amounts aren’t expected to be much but a tenth of an inch is possible, although many areas will see less than that.
ELECTION DAY: Still showing no weather related issues on Election Day around the state. Temperatures will be seasonal with readings in the 50s with mainly sunny skies. You will have no weather related issues for not voting this year.
NOVEMBER VORTEXES: The vortexes are still around and on the 11th we could really get a good dosing of weather with the possible chances of showers, thunderstorms and perhaps some accumulating snow. We still have more than a week to watch this and it’s been on the GFS for several days now. This could be the first significant winter storm of the year if the GFS pans out. Another storm a few days later could bring more snow than rain across the state as the low would track well to our south and southeast. We’ll keep an eye on both storms in future IWR’s.
