WARMTH ABOUNDING: It’s going to be a warm two days across the state approaching or possibly exceeding record highs for the date. Readings will be in the 70s to lower 80s for highs. With increased humidity, it will feel more like Memorial Day Weekend than the last half of October. There will be some scattered shower and thunderstorm chances as well, but the main event looks to take place on Wednesday into Thursday with the cold front moving through at that time. Rainfall looks modest with a quarter to three quarters of an inch possible with isolated heavier 1″ totals in areas that get heavier thunderstorms.

BACK TO REALITY: Temperatures will take a nose dive behind the front Friday and into the weekend with highs backing into the 40s to lower 50s for highs with lows around 30. There will be sunshine around, but it won’t be the same as it is today and tomorrow. The GFS wants to bring a disturbance in Sunday that could bring some cold rain or perhaps flurries but we’re not very confident in that solution. A warm front moves in Monday with a shower possible in the northern half as readings head back into the 50s to near 60.

NOVEMBER: The month looks a bit active with several storms out there including snow that could get very close to the state just past Election Day. We still have plenty of time to watch this system and plenty more model runs to see if it continues or disappears.
