SUNNY SUNDAY: The weather will continue to be spectacular on Sunday with sunshine and temperatures in the 60s and 70s across the state. Some clouds will increase toward the late afternoon with the next storm system approaching.

RAINY WEEK: The work week will not be as good on Sunday except for those that want to see a replenishment of the soil moisture that has been lacking due to the drought this summer. There will be scattered chances of showers and a few thunderstorms between Monday and Thursday across the state. The best chances look to be on Monday and Wednesday afternoon through Thursday evening. Rainfall through Thursday night could reach a half to three quarters of an inch, however some isolated locations could see 1 inch plus. A strong cold front will sweep through the state on Thursday afternoon and evening putting an end to the rain chances and also the warm weather that will be reigning this week.

NEXT WEEKEND: The last weekend of October is not going to be spectacular, in fact if the GFS is right, Saturday could bring the first snow to the state. Yes SNOW! Right now it doesn’t look like much at this point with most of the moisture well to our south but a few flurries or perhaps a snow shower or two could be possible Saturday if this model run pans out (we’ll see though) The weather remains relatively active into the first few days of November as well. An early Election Day forecast could be unsettled with seasonal temperatures, but this is still up in the air as the election is as well.
