All of Iowa

Severe Weather Threat Nearly Gone

The Storm Prediction Center has taken almost the entire state of Iowa out of the severe weather threat for the rest of today and tonight. Most of the severe weather will be to our south over KS, OK, TX into MO. There still could be an isolated severe storm in far southern and southeastern Iowa later tonight but those chances look minimal at best. What hasn’t gone away is the rain that will come through tonight in the southeastern half of the state. Some heavy rain with some embedded thunder is still possible southeast of a Lamoni to Waterloo to PDC line through the evening and overnight hours. Rain will continue into Sunday morning before ending as the storm continues to move to the NE.
