RAIN TODAY: Some scattered showers will be moving through the state today. Don’t expect to get a lot of rainfall however with many locations getting a few hundredths perhaps up to a tenth of an inch in some of the luckier locations. Readings will be cooler today with the clouds and possible showers with 50s to lower 60s common across the state.

TRANQUIL TIL SATURDAY: The weather will clear out and a few nice sunny days are in store Wednesday through Friday with readings in the 50s and 60s for highs with lows climbing out of the 20s on Wednesday morning into the 30s and 40s by Friday.

THE STORM: The GFS continues to show a very dynamic storm approaching the state from the southwest on Saturday into Saturday night. There will be a very decent crack at some showers and thunderstorms across the area. Some of the storms perhaps may get to severe weather limits, but more will become known on that in the next 24-48 hours. This will bring some significant rainfall as well, with at least a half to three quarters of an inch possible, higher in any areas that get repeated thunderstorm activity.

MORE ACTIVE?: The weather pattern is looking more active thereafter with another storm on Monday and perhaps a few more in the offing toward the end of the forecast run. Still don’t have much confidence past Monday at this time, however there doesn’t look to be any big cold pushes down from Canada at least until the end of the month. We’ll keep watching however.
