WARMING AND WINDY: It will be warmer today than yesterday with highs back into the 50s to near 60 across the state with a lot more sunshine than was seen the last few days across the state. Monday will be even warmer and more windy with temperatures another 8-12° warmer with mid 60s to lower 70s with sunshine. This will likely blow a lot of the leaves off the trees which have been peaking across a large portion of the state as of late.

COOLING TO MIDWEEK: A cold front will bring the end to the warmer weather on Tuesday into Wednesday but it won’t bring much of any rainfall across the area. Any isolated showers that do form will be very light and likely to produce no more than a hundredth or two in any one area. Readings fall back into the 50s to lower 60s before rising again.

BIGGER WEEKEND STORM: The GFS has been showing a storm system this next weekend moving in and continues to on this run with some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm next Saturday. Readings will be in the 60s to near 70 dependent on the amount of cloud cover that could keep readings held down. This could bring some significant rain to the area that really needs it for replenishing the soil moisture given the drought the past few months.

FARTHER OUT: Several more storms are possible through the middle of the month. If this run is right there could be at least two fairly strong storms on the 18th and 21st-22nd. We’ll watch to see if this trend continues on future runs. (The one on 18th has better chance than 21st-22nd at this time)
