COOL TIME: It’s going to be very cool for the next several days with highs in the 50s to near 60 with ample sunshine. Saturday however will be cooler with upper 40s possible in the northern counties. There is a slight chance Saturday of a few sprinkles or perhaps a flurry or two mainly along and north of US Hwy 18. It will not amount to anything and will likely only last a few minutes or two. Cold mornings will end the growing season in areas that have yet to get a hard freeze with lows down into the mid 20s in many areas Saturday and Sunday Morning.

STAYING COOL: A warmup will begin next week but could be held back by another shot of cool air at mid-week although most of that should stay to our north and east. Readings will remain in the 60s for highs through the end of the week with another chance at some rain showers toward the end of next week, but not looking too good at the moment. Models have and continue to be inconsistent in the medium to long range but we’ll continue monitoring for any long lasting trends that may arise.
