ONE MORE DAY: Another warm day in store today before the big change to much colder weather begins on Thursday. Readings today will be in the 70s and lower 80s across the state with some breezy conditions and mainly sunny skies. Clouds will increase later tonight with a few showers possible in the northwestern counties during the morning hours sweeping southeastward through the morning into the afternoon hours on Thursday. Rainfall won’t be that much more than a tenth or two if that, and readings will drop during the afternoon hours into the 40s to lower 50s by evening.

COOL WEEKEND: Friday through Sunday will be a big change to the last few days around here. Friday could see some lingering showers in the southern counties otherwise mainly dry weather and colder weather at that. Temperatures will only range in the 50s to lower 60s each day after morning lows in the 20s and lower 30s. This will effectively end the growing season for the entire state that hadn’t been effected by the frost and freeze conditions a few weeks ago.

WARMING BACK: Temperatures will rebound through the week but not back to where they have been. 60s and lower 70s are possible by the middle to end of next week before another push of colder air thereafter.
