The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Warning effective from 1am until 8am Sunday morning for the following counties, Adair, Adams, Audubon, Black Hawk, Boone, Bremer, Butler, Calhoun, Carroll, Cass, Cerro Gordo, Crawford, Dallas, Emmet, Franklin, Greene, Grundy, Guthrie, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Humboldt, Kossuth, Marshall, Palo Alto, Pocahontas, Sac, Story, Tama, Taylor, Webster, Winnebago, Worth, Wright. The Freeze Warning for Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Ida, Lyon, O Brien, Osceola, Plymouth, Sioux, Woodbury counties goes from 3-8am Sunday Morning and Harrison, Mills, Monona, Montgomery, Page, Pottawattamie, Shelby goes from 3-9am Sunday morning.

Clear skies and calming winds along with dry air will bring temperatures down into the 20s and lower 30s across a good portion of the state. This will effectively end the growing season in these locations. Make sure to bring plants indoors or cover them before going to bed. More counties will likely be added to the warning later today.
